Apprentice:
Join me and let’s gain some knowledge by doing the following:
REQUIRED:
Read this short (with lots of pictures :) ) ebook about Hebrew http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/iah/iah.htm
Watch the following link, parts 1 to 4. You may continue watching the rest if it is interesting to you..of course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk_m5z0mKzo
Pick a Hebrew letter and teach us about it: how to pronouce it, it's pictoral symbol and meaning, important words associated with that letter, its numerical value, etc. Please sign up for a letter! You may prepare a presentation about your letter, a skit about your letter or an oral report about your letter
Look online for translators to do the following:
Translate your first name into Hebrew...bring this to class with you.
Translate your favorite Bible scripture into Hebrew...bring,this to class with you.
Come to class prepared with a question of something you didn’t understand or something you are curious about and want to ask others
Report to your parent or mentor about how you are doing on your math goals for this year.
AND do one (or more) of the following:
Read more or watch about the Hebrew Alphabet from the library or online. Please share with us in class what you learned
Create a visual presentation or artwork to help you remember the Hebrew Alphabet. Share your creation with us during class
Read The Chosen. Share with us what you learned about Hebrew and math from reading this book
Can math help you grow closer to God? As you learn about Hebrew write down any thoughts you have about the Lord. Record these thoughts in your reflection journal. Apply one of the thoughts in your life by acting upon the thought. Record any further thoughts or feelins after your action. Share in class your experience.
