Think About:     Word Study on Endurance or Perseverance

What is endurance to you?   What obstacles do you have in your life?   How do you choose to overcome obstacles in your life?  Why is perseverance an important life skill?

Project:          Continue Working on your chosen project for this month.  This is the application part of apprentice (applying principles to ourselves.)  Keep working on it.   This week assignment is to write what you have learned from doing  your project.   Send me an email with your thoughts or bring me a little paragraph to class.

You have two options again this week for Inspirements:

Create this:       Create a science experiment using water.  Bring your experiment to class and share it with the group.   Please share with us what you learn and how it relates to endurance or perseverance.

OR

Create this:       Read and study about Benjamin Franklin, his contributions to our country, his ability to problem solve and overcome obstacles.  Read a children’s non-fiction book about him from the library or find a good online source.   After studying about Benjamin Franklin choose to do one of the following;  create a character sketch of Franklins life,  build one of Franklins inventions, draw a graphic summary of an event in Franklins life, (see teaching ideas for other ideas)  Show why endurance and overcoming obstacles is important to you.

Read more or watch about the Hebrew Alphabet from the library or online. Please share with us in class what you learned

Create a visual presentation or artwork to help you remember the Hebrew Alphabet. Share your creation with us during class

Read The Chosen. Share with us what you learned about Hebrew and math from reading this book

Can math help you grow closer to God? As you learn about Hebrew write down any thoughts you have about the Lord. Record these thoughts in your reflection journal. Apply one of the thoughts in your life by acting upon the thought. Record any further thoughts or feelins after your action. Share in class your experience.

For this coming sabbath day observe the Sabbath and keep it holy. Prepare before hand to attend your meetings, to remember Christ, to have all in readiness to keep the day holy. Make a list of things you will do. After the sabbath compare the things you did do. How was your sabbath day observance. Did your feelings about the Sabbath change? Were your feelings towards the Lord different. Write down your thoughts in your journal. Come to class prepared to share in some way...visual, presentation, writing, words the things you learned.

In some creative form record your thoughts, feelings and relationship with the Lord...this could be a poem, a musical composition, a journal entry, a visual representation, etc....we will not be near a computer, so if you want to do something on the computer please send the link to everyone to view prior to class.

Liken our study of Genesis to yourself. Share how you have/can come closer to the Lord through your scripture study.

Create a gratitude journal by writing, drawing, or taking pictures of the creations of God around you that you are grateful for.
