Inspirements for October 2012- Journeyman
Take your knowledge to Understanding by:
1. Read Genesis chapter 1 vs. 6-8. Look up any words that you dont know. Pick a word that you think is important to understanding God's work and complete a word study on it
2. Look for a current event that has to do with math or science
3. Do your own research into Weather, Atmosphere and Meteorology. Read a non-fiction book at home or from the library and share with us what you learn. Do you like these subjects...why or why not? How do they apply to your life?
4. Come prepare to class with a question regarding Weather, Atmosphere or Meterology or Genesis 1:6-8
AND do ONE or more of the following:
Prepare a weather Atmosphere, Meteorology experiment to share with the class.
Preapre a report on one of following subjects: Acid rain, water cycle, advection, atmosphere, barometer and barometric pressure, weather, clouds, doppler radar, seasons, humidity, hurricanes, investion, jet stream, radar, trade winds, etc.
Read The Frist Scientist, The Life of Roger Bacon and give us a short oral book report during class.
Keep a weather journal for two weeks. Draw, sketch, record in some art medium the weather you observe each day. What did you notice about God's creations?
Find and read some from a farmers almanac. Do farmers still use these today? Are they reliable? What does it say about this year? Share what you learn with the class
