Pick an  body system (listed under memorization) and create a report on it.  Your report may be written, oral or digital.   What did you learn about the human body?  Please come prepared to share your report with us.

Come to class prepared with a question regarding the human body or Genesis 1: 26-31

AND do one of the following:

Read Galen and the Gateway to Medicine by Bendick and give us a short oral book report during class.  What was your favorite part?  How did your understanding of medieval medicine by reading this book?  Did you enjoy the book…why or why not?  Share your favorite quotes from the book.

Draw, sketch, record in some art medium the body system you chose for your report.  What did you learn about the human body?

Bring a game or activity to help us memorize the parts of a system of the body (please sign up)

Do some additional research online or at the library into Galen's life.  Share what you learn with us at class.  Complete a character study on Galen.

For one whole day observe your body.  Take notes of which body systems you are using through out the day.  Make a chart or tally sheet of when you notice your different systems working...is your stomach growling from your digestive system?  do you feel pain from your nervous system?    are you using your muscular system too much? not enough? etc.   Write in your journal your observations through out the day.
